Em 27 de Março de 2024, por volta das 18h (horário local), talibãs armados atacaram uma casa residencial no bairro de Dasht e Barchi, em Cabul, prenderam quatro pessoas e levaram-nas consigo. (Inglês... abaixo).
Três
irmãs, Azada Rezaei, 25, Nadia, 17, Elaha, 14, e o seu irmão Yahya Rezaei, 22,
foram transferidos para um local desconhecido após serem presos. A família
das raparigas detidas disse à comunicação social que, após o incidente,
contactou as autoridades de segurança distritais e o Ministério do Interior,
mas que as autoridades de segurança simplesmente negaram o seu envolvimento no
caso e não forneceram mais explicações à família ou à comunicação social.
Autoridades talibãs disseram à TV
Internacional do Afeganistão que estão a investigar o caso em que quatro
membros de uma família foram presos por "pessoas desconhecidas". Estas
quatro pessoas, activistas do movimento de protesto anti-Talibã e que exigem os
direitos das meninas à educação e à liberdade, tal como anteriormente a sua
irmã mais velha, Tamana Rezaei, haviam sido presas pelos talibãs, que foram
libertadas após 29 dias. Zafar, chefe da secção de Cabul do Movimento Espontâneo das Mulheres Afegãs (SMAW), diz que os talibãs prenderam,

Zafar acrescentou que, devido ao medo e
ao terror dos talibãs, as famílias das mulheres e raparigas detidas não podem
falar com os meios de comunicação social sobre as dificuldades e o tratamento
brutal dispensado pelos talibãs ou tomar medidas legais para a libertação dos
seus entes queridos.
A Amnistia Internacional, no seu mais recente apelo ao chefe da agência de inteligência talibã para a libertação de mulheres presas, escreveu que, desde que os talibãs chegaram ao poder em Agosto de 2021, um grande número de mulheres que protestavam contra as políticas talibãs desapareceram. ou foram presas e torturadas.
A SMAW exige a libertação imediata de
Azada, Nadia, Elaha e Yahya, e os talibãs devem ser responsabilizados a este
respeito. Prender
raparigas, especialmente crianças, não é apenas um acto desumano, mas também
contrário às tradições e à cultura da sociedade afegã. A detenção
arbitrária e a detenção de detidos em locais desconhecidos, a tortura física e

The Taliban continue to arbitrarily arrest women activists
On March 27, 2024, around 6:00 PM local time, armed Taliban attacked a
residential house in Dasht e Barchi area of Kabul and arrested four people
and took them away. Three sisters, 25-year-old Azada Rezaei, 17-year-old Nadia,
14-year-old Elaha and their brother Yahya Rezaei 22 years old, were transferred
to an unknown place after being arrested.
The family of the arrested girls told the media that after this incident,
they approached the district security authorities and the Ministry of Interior
Affairs, but the security authorities simply denied their involvement in this
matter and did not provide further explanations to the family and the media.
Taliban officials have told « Afghanistan International » TV that
they are investigating the case in which four members of a family were arrested
by “unknown people”.
These four people, who were activists of the anti-Taliban protest movement and demanding the rights of girls to education and freedom, previously their older sister, Tamana Rezaei had been imprisoned by the Taliban, who was released after 29 days.
Ms.Zafar, the head of the Kabul branch of the Spontaneous Movement of
Afghan Women (SMAW), says that the Taliban have arbitrarily arrested, tortured
and killed hundreds of protesting women and girls in the past three years, and
so far rarely acknowledged responsibility. Ms. Zafar adds that due to the fear
and terror of the Taliban, the families of detained women and girls cannot talk
with the media about the hardships and brutal treatment of the Taliban or file
a lawsuit for the release of their loved ones.
Amnesty International in its last appeal sent to the head of the
intelligence agency of the Taliban for the release of imprisoned women, has
written that since the Taliban came to power in August 2021, a large number of
women protesting the policies of the Taliban have disappeared or been arrested
and tortured.
SMAW demands the immediate release of Azada, Nadia, Elaha and Yahya, and
the Taliban must be held accountable in this regard. Arresting young girls and
especially children is not only an inhumane act but also contrary to the
traditions and culture of the Afghan society. Arbitrary detention and keeping
detainees in unknown places, physical and mental torture, depriving prisoners
of the right to have a lawyer and communication with their families, etc, are
extra-legal encounters and crimes.
