Sarah e os seus colegas e professores fizeram tudo o que podiam para entrar
na escola, mas a polícia talibã não os permitiu. Sarah voltou para casa com
lágrimas nos olhos e um mundo de desespero. Ao contrário da sua promessa e compromisso
de abrir as portas das escolas femininas no dia 23 de Março, os talibãs, sem
aviso prévio, fecharam escolas do 6º ao 12º ano por decreto a pretexto de que
as meninas não usavam o hijab islâmico. Sarah e milhões de raparigas afegãs, apesar
de usarem o hijab apropriado, ainda não sabem porque é que, tal como os
rapazes, não podem ir à escola e receber uma educação? Ela não sabe porque é
que os Talibãs estão a impedir a abertura de escolas de raparigas e como o
monstro talibã reinou sobre o seu destino?
O movimento, que inclui mulheres e raparigas livres-pensadoras, laicas,
feministas e socialistas, organizou manifestações em massa em Cabul para
protestar contra a recente decisão dos talibãs de banir as meninas da escola. O
movimento apelou às pessoas, especialmente às famílias, para que
"expressem a sua oposição até que o seu direito à educação e outros
direitos sejam garantidos aos seus filhos". "Não recuaremos perante a
exigência dos direitos fundamentais do povo, especialmente dos direitos das
mulheres", "Os direitos humanos das mulheres devem ser
restaurados", exortaram. Elas cantaram: "Comecem uma nova ordem,
abram as escolas agora! Queremos educação! Quebre o silêncio, levante a voz!
Após a derrota dos Estados Unidos no Afeganistão após vinte anos de
ocupação, os Estados Unidos decidiram ceder o poder aos talibãs e implementar a
sua estratégia na região através do governo talibã no Afeganistão em vez do
governo corrupto e incompetente de Ashraf Ghani. Para tal, lançaram uma
campanha para retratar os talibãs inocentes através dos meios de comunicação e
dos seus mercenários. Argumentaram que a mentalidade e a prática dos talibãs
tinham mudado e que já não eram os talibãs da década de 1990. Estavam optimistas
de que os talibãs deixariam de restringir as liberdades sociais, de não se
oporem aos direitos das mulheres, de não se oporem às escolas e à educação das
raparigas, que não iriam impedir o trabalho e a presença das mulheres na
sociedade e que a vontade de respeitar os liberdades dos direitos civis e as liberdades
dos media. Com base nesta abordagem, os EUA e os talibãs assinaram finalmente
um acordo de paz em Fevereiro de 2020, em Doha.
Os talibãs tomaram o poder em Agosto de 2021, depois de as forças dos EUA e
da NATO se terem retirado do Afeganistão. No segundo dia do seu governo em
Cabul, os talibãs impuseram severas restrições às mulheres e fecharam as portas
de todas as escolas femininas em todo o Afeganistão.
De facto, os talibãs de hoje não são diferentes dos talibãs da década de
1990. É a mentira, a hipocrisia e a traição dos Estados Unidos e da NATO que,
mais uma vez, dirigiram os talibãs misóginos e medievais sobre o povo afegão
devido aos seus objetivos estratégicos e interesses na região.
Hoje, os Estados Unidos e a NATO são parceiros e responsáveis pela
catástrofe humanitária e pela opressão dos talibãs sobre as mulheres e
raparigas afegãs. O facto é que o hijab e as roupas de raparigas de todas as
eras passadas eram completamente islâmicos e de acordo com os costumes e
cultura das sociedades afegãs. Mas com este truque, os talibãs fizeram reféns milhões
de mulheres e raparigas afegãs para extorquir concessões à chamada comunidade
internacional. Através das suas acções misóginas, pretendem pressionar a
"comunidade internacional" a reconhecer o governo talibã e a libertar
quase 10 mil milhões de dólares dos bens congelados ao Afeganistão.
Mas o tratamento discriminatório dos talibãs sobre as mulheres e as
raparigas não pode ser resolvido reconhecendo o seu governo e libertando
dinheiro congelado. Porque os pensamentos e abordagens dos talibãs baseiam-se
na lei islâmica, que interpretam à sua maneira. De acordo com a lei islâmica,
as mulheres não têm os mesmos direitos que os homens. A poligamia, o casamento
antes da idade das meninas, o apartheid sexual e a violência baseada no género,
bem como o estatuto inferior das mulheres na família e na sociedade estão
enraizadas em textos e ensinamentos islâmicos. É evidente que os talibãs e o
regime patriarcal receiam que as mulheres e as raparigas se tornem
alfabetizadas e sensibilizadas. Porque se as raparigas se aperceberem, exigirão
direitos iguais e lutarão contra o cativeiro, a poligamia, o apartheid sexual,
o casamento infantil, a discriminação de género e a barbárie. Os Talibãs
acreditam que as raparigas não devem estudar mais do que o sexto ano. Porque o
estudo causa corrupção moral! De acordo com os Talibãs, as meninas de 9, 10 e
12 anos são adultos e devem ser dadas aos seus maridos! Por conseguinte, os
talibãs sabem que, se as mulheres se tornarem alfabetizadas e bem informadas,
não querem ficar confinadas ao lar. Querem trabalhar fora de casa e ganhar
dinheiro. Porque as mulheres podem ser libertadas da servidão dos homens,
ganhando independência financeira e lutando pela igualdade de direitos e
liberdades.
Os talibãs podem ser capazes de bloquear a educação das raparigas durante
meses ou anos sob vários pretextos, ou tornar o currículo do Afeganistão
religioso e não científico, mas dado o nível de consciencialização e despertar
das mulheres, especialmente nas cidades, existe um forte potencial de
resistência e luta para desafiar e derrubar a tirania misógina e medieval dos
talibãs ou qualquer sistema religioso e não-religioso. democrático. O povo
afegão não tem qualquer esperança de ajuda da chamada comunidade internacional
face à crise económica e à violação catastrófica dos direitos das mulheres no
Afeganistão, mas responsabiliza-a por esta situação horrível.
O povo afegão conta apenas com forças progressistas de esquerda,
democráticas, laicas e com o "Movimento Espontâneo das Mulheres Contestatárias",
que, juntamente com a solidariedade de trabalhadores e mulheres de outras
partes do mundo, pode abrir caminho a uma sociedade livre de opressão,
exploração, discriminação de género e igualdade de direitos para as mulheres.

Hostage-taking of women and girls in order to recognize
the Taliban regime
Sarah, a 13-year-old girl, got ready and went to school on the morning of March
23 with joy and excitement along with other girls in her neighborhood. After a
long eight-month hiatus, she expected today to meet her classmates, teachers
and school and start new lessons. Contrary to her expectations, she was
confronted by a closed gate of the school and dozens of Taliban police who were
tasked with preventing the girls from entering the school. Sarah and her
classmates and teachers made every effort to apologize for entering the school,
but the Taliban police did not allow them. Sarah returned home with tears in
her eyes and a world of despair.
Contrary to their promise and commitment to open the gates of girls ‘schools on
the 23rd of March, the Taliban, without prior notice, closed the sixth to
twelfth grades of schools in a decree under the pretext of the girls’ lack of
Islamic hijab. Sarah and millions of Afghan girls, despite wearing the proper
hijab, still do not know why, like boys, they do not have the right to go to
school and get education? She does not know why the Taliban are preventing the
opening of girls’ schools and how the monster of the Taliban ruled over her
fate?
However, Sarah and hundreds of other girls in Kabul did not sit silent. They
took to the streets on March 24, despite the Taliban brutally suppressing all
women’s protests over the past eight months, arresting, imprisoning, torturing,
raping, and killing dozens of women and girls. They demanded the immediate
reopening of all girls’ schools. »The Spontaneous Movement of Protesting
Women » that emerged after the Taliban’s rule in August 2021 for women’s
rights and resistance to oppression and restrictions in Kabul is at the forefront
of the struggle and voice of women and all Afghans against the fascist and
misogynistic Taliban Islamic regime. The movement, which includes
free-thinking, secular, feminist and socialist women and girls, staged mass
demonstrations in Kabul to protest the Taliban’s recent decision to ban girls
from school. The movement called on people, especially families, to
« express their opposition until their right to education and other rights
is guaranteed to their children. » « We will not back down from
demanding the basic rights of the people, especially the rights of
women », « The basic rights of women must be restored, » They
urged. They chanted: « Start a new order, open schools now! We want
education! Break the silence, raise your voice! »
Following the defeat of the United States in Afghanistan after twenty years of
occupations, the United States decided to hand over power to the Taliban and
implement its strategy in the region through the Taliban government in
Afghanistan instead of the corrupt and incompetent government of Ashraf Ghani.
To that end, they launched a campaign to introduce the Taliban innocent through
the media and their mercenaries. They argued that the mentality and practice of
the Taliban had changed and that they were no longer the Taliban of the 1990s.
They were optimistic that the Taliban would no longer restrict social freedoms,
that they would not oppose women’s rights, that they would not oppose girls’
schools and education, that they would not hinder women’s work and presence in society,
and that the will respect civil liberties and media freedoms.
Based on this approach, the United States and the Taliban finally signed a
peace agreement in February 2020 in Doha. The Taliban took power in August 2021
after US and NATO forces withdrew from Afghanistan. On the second day of their
rule in Kabul, the Taliban imposed severe restrictions on women and closed the
gates of all girls’ schools throughout Afghanistan.
In fact, the Taliban today are no different from the Taliban of the 1990s. It
was the lie, hypocrisy and betrayal of the United States and NATO that once
again ruled the misogynistic and medieval Taliban over the Afghan people
because of their strategic goals and interests in the region. Today, the United
States and NATO are partners in and responsible for the humanitarian
catastrophe and oppression of Afghan women and girls by the Taliban.
The fact is that the hijab and clothes of girls in all past eras have been
completely Islamic and in accordance with the customs and culture of Afghan
societies. But with this trick, the Taliban have taken millions of Afghan women
and girls hostage to extort concession from the so-called international
community. By their misogynistic actions, they intend to pressure the
« international community » to recognize the Taliban government and
release nearly $ 10 billion of Afghanistan’s frozen assets. But
the Taliban’s
discriminatory treatment of women and girls cannot be resolved by recognizing
their government and releasing frozen money. Because the Taliban’s
thinking and approaches are based on Islamic law, which they interpret in their
own way.
According to Islamic law, women do not have equal rights as men. Polygamy,
marriage under the age of girls, sexual apartheid and gender based violence,
and the low status of women in the family and society are rooted in Islamic
texts and teachings. It is clear that the Taliban and patriarchal regimes fear
that women and girls become literate and aware. Because if girls become aware,
they will demand equal rights and fight against captivity, polygamy, sexual
apartheid, child marriage, gender based discrimination and barbarism.
The Taliban believe that girls should not study more than sixth grade. Because
they cause moral corruption! According to the Taliban, 9-, 10- and 12-year-old
girls are adults and should be given to their husbands!
Therefore, the Taliban know that if women become literate and knowledgeable,
then they do not want to be confined within the home. They want to work outside
the home and earn money. Because women can be freed from the bondage of men by
gaining financial independence and fight for equal rights and freedoms.
The Taliban may be able to block girls’ education for months or years under
various pretexts, or make Afghanistan’s curriculum religious and unscientific,
but given the level of awareness and awakening of women, especially in cities,
there is a strong potential for resistance and struggle to challenge and
overthrow the misogynistic and medieval tyranny of the Taliban or any religious
and non-democratic system.
The people of Afghanistan have no hope of help from the so-called international
community in the face of the economic crisis and the catastrophic violation of
women’s rights in Afghanistan, but hold them responsible for this horrible
situation. The people of Afghanistan rely only on the progressive forces of the
left, democratic, secular and the « Spontaneous Movement of Protesting
women », which, with the solidarity of workers and women in other parts of
the world, can pave the way towards a society free of oppression, exploitation,
gender- based discrimination and equal rights to women.
